Columbines (Aquilegias)

 

I have a special affinity for these flowers
as they grew on the farm where I was born. In spring the garden has hundreds of them, pink single and double, white single and double, and the alpine blue ones, as well as some of the multicoloured creatures which come up in the same spot year after year.
