Sunrise

"The lovely rosy glow preceding sunrise in a thin veiling of winter clouds. We call the big dark hill 'Timber Hill' for the saw-tooth timber line of Douglas Fir trees covering its crown. The trees lining the far edge of the golf course are still bare in this chilly view of the eleventh fairway under a light snowfall. The small peak to the right is the South peak I've told Catherine in Scotland so much about. I like to think of it as a sister peak to her local mountain. It appears much smaller here in this wide angle view than it would if you looked out the windows at it with with aircraft taking off and golf in play on the tee below it".
